Some questions to consider:
Does Shattenkirk want to play in Canada?
Should the Leafs be giving up quality assets or their 1st for a UFA.
Do the Leafs have a pay structure in mind? Meaning do they want to pay Shattenkirk 2 million more than Rielly?
I thought the Leafs were seeking a shutdown D. Is that Shattenkirk? Who fits that bill?
This doesn't seem like the way the Leafs will go. Shattenkirk screams Bruin,Devil or Ranger to me. Devils make a lot of sense. Shero has done some nice work.
