Great, Haley is gonna play center for the rest of the year.

And the worst part is that the injuries are a built-in excuse so DeBoer won't get fired.

We have enough players to scratch Haley though...

Hansen Hertl Boedker
Donskoi Pavelski Marleau
Meier Tierney LaBanc
Ward Karlsson Sorenson
(no order, just filling in spots)

He has no excuse to play Haley, other than he wants to play Haley.

Yeah but he's not gonna play any of the guys you listed on the 4th line at center. Instead, for some reason, he thinks Haley who I'm guessing didn't even play center on his bantam teams is capable of centering a line in the NHL. ****ing moron.

That lineup is so gross with or without Haley lmao.

It's bad but it's really not that awful. A testament to the organizational depth that we're still able to ice 4 decent lines without our top two centers. Marleau-Pavelski-Donskoi wouldn't be that far below average of a top line if Donskoi finds his game. It's no worse than, say, Columbus' top line. And Hansen-Hertl-Boedker has shown it can be an effective second line. Labanc-Tierney-Ward is not ideal but it's a third line we've iced at times this year and is technically better than the third line we had in the playoffs last year following Game 4 of the Nashville series. And then you've still got Karlsson available for the fourth line hopefully along with Carpenter and either Sorensen or Meier instead of Haley.

This team is so ****ed when Patty and Jumbo leave.

True, sub Couture in for Patty and it doesn't look much better.

Save us Tomas!

Pavelski being effective at center and Donskoi finding his game are big ifs. It's not a bad lineup but it's pretty awful going into the playoffs.

It's not a lineup that's gonna score. Possess well? maybe. score? prolly not. that's probably the biggest problem we're gonna have in a post jumbo world.

True but we haven't scored much all year with Thornton and Couture in the lineup either. We've already started to see it with Hertl but I think guys like him, Donskoi, Ward, Boedker and Labanc's shooting percentages are going to start to regress a bit and they'll start producing more offense even without Jumbo and Couture in the lineup.

Wouldn't disagree. But it's not like the Sharks were lighting up the scoreboard with Jumbo and Logan in.

Wait... who's playing 4C?

Centers will be Pavs, Marleau, Hertl and Tierney.

Lines will be:

Meier-Pavs-Karlsson
Ward-Marleau-Donskoi
Hansen-Hertl-Boedker
Labanc-Tierney-Sorensen

That's a guess obviously, but it has the least amount of roster movement.

I am actually ok with the lineup. But Pavs line should really be the 3rd line and not the 1st.
