Just a PSA that an official breakout season for Seth Jarvis appears to be in the making.

It's no secret that Rod loves this kid, and from what i've seen so far, Seth is really starting to assert himself.

With Aho out, he has been leading the forwards in ice time and is up to 4 goals and 6 points in 5 games. I could see a 30 goal 65+ point season being a very realistic outcome.

Get your shaker bottles, pint glasses, or whatever your drinking vessel of choice is ready, because Jary Juice Season is incoming.

Yep, I stated that in the OP.

I just mean the first maybe 7-8 games of any season are filled with statisitical anomolies and can't be used to project anything.

Most teams still haven't even integrated new players and found their game within the coaching systems.

I didn't think it was real when he scored two against us because the Sharks are easy to play against, but to do it against Seattle afterwards---call me convinced! Picking him up in my fantasy leagues right now!!

Too soon to say he’s a top “X” player, sure.

But Jarvis was second in ice time for all Canes forwards in a 15-game playoff run to Aho at 20 minutes per night in the highest leverage situations. There’s a bit more meat on this bone than some of the silly early season proclamations here. This is just validation that his role by the end of last season and in the playoffs was no smoke and mirrors.

He’s already trusted as much as any forward by a veteran coach on a Stanley Cup contending team at age 21. That’s a statement as much as any “X points in X games” projection.

Rod have a big big big bromance with Jarvis playing on the top 6 lines with pp time since he play in the NHL, very rare to see a kid having so much chance and passing before regular player .

Controversial take, but I wanted Jarvis over Raymond at the draft. This kid reminds me so much of Zach Parise.

21 years old turning 22 in February. Tons of skill, with a career pace of 17-26-43 per 82. Already a PK-worthy defender, does not cheat the game. Plays without fear, throwing hits on bigger players and taking hits to make a play on a 5’10” 175lb frame.

Health may be an issue with his play style, but otherwise he’s due for a breakout and will likely peak as a 30-goal scorer with a strong two-way game.

in ur crease
He gets top line time and top PP time. Is he really above average for those opportunities given?

74th in PPG among forwards , so he's in that range but he has a pretty good team around him

Necas is 0.7 PPG on the second line 2nd PP. Flip them around and Jarvis is below 0.7

He's definitely not better than a healthy Svech also
