Very, very curious to see how this goes. Remember how flat they came out last year? In playoff games?

The time they all geared up for is now here; the players, the coaching hires, the signings. Let's see what they bought.

I can't see them coming out flat. I'm far more concerned with them coming out completely out of control.

This series will be a bloodbath though.

It will be a hard hitting physical series. I'm concerned about Carlyle going with the soft D again and it will be Manson alone doing all the heavy lifting. Also losing Ritchie for game one is a joke he is needed here for the 3rd line

Actually, they should try to play somewhat disciplined. On even grounds they should win most games vs the Flames.

On the other hand, the Ducks should never expect even grounds as long as zebras are involved, so might as well smash their faces in.

It's going to be a rough series.

I won't be surprised to see him in game 1, and with Ritchie out of game 1 7 D would not shock me either. the last thing you want is to have to put Theodore or montour(i think Montour is a lock to play game 1) to start the playoffs on the road, and you also don't want Stoner in that situation either given how long he's been out. We'll see I'm sure the coaching staff is thinking about these things

The primal part of me stills say Boll needs to play game 1 and do some hurtin'... but I realize that's not going to happen, and our new 4th line is really what we need.

Also, I have a hunch this series will end up being a lot more conservative than people think. There'll be lots of hitting for sure, but nobody will want to take stupid penalties unless the game is a blowout.
