Hey Guys

So the second iteration of Sens Summer Fan Fest is happening! It will be on Sunday August 16th from 1:00-5:30 at MacLaren's on Elgin. Entry fee is $30 and covers food, pool table rentals, raffle ticket(s), as well as a donation to the Sens Foundation. The event will also feature a trivia contest and an NHL video game tournament.

This year we have a special guest in Bruce Firestone, the founder of the Ottawa Senators! He'll be making a presentation called Don’t Back Down, the real story of the Founding of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. It's based on a book of the same name to be released in December 2015. As a bonus, the first 200 people to buy tickets will get a free e-copy of this book!

In addition, up for silent auction will be an exclusive breakfast with Bruce Firestone. Details to come!

We already have a large number of raffle prizes including a full set of this year's bobbleheads and a pair of glass seats to a Sens-Leafs game in 2015-2016 (donated by Faces Ottawa). I am looking for additional sponsors (individuals or companies) to donate prizes for our raffle, so if you know anyone be sure to let me know!

Question, I know you guys had Todd White last year come, have you guys ever thought of having a panel of former players?

I know a few former Sens still live in Ottawa like Tugnutt, Boschman, Marsh, Van Allen.

I'm stoked for the event either way, but I like seeing former players as they are a little less guarded usually, and some have some great stories.

Long story short, when this thing was announced she decided to be a real **** about it and make fun of the organizers, attendees, etc basically painting it as an event for losers.

Then when people started to call her out on her being a stupid **** she went into classic "Erin Nicks" mode and starting acting like the victim.

No one has been more self-destructive to her own career than Erin Nicks.
