According to Keefe, it was mainly precautionary to take Borgman out and he might be okay. That's good news I guess, hope he's fine

For once I hope that we don't play from behind because in every game against Ottawa that's what has happened. Even in the game when the Leafs won 4-3 remember how they were down 3-1 going into the 3rd period.

This is Baby Bro's stanley cup. We're 2-6-2 against them in our last 10.

It's about time we take care of business against these adorables.

Of course, we're lucky enough to get them just as leaf killer Stone gets back into the lineup.

Still, no excuses. We've been messing up against bottom feeders all year and it's got to stop.

oh and P.S......Dermot > Chabot.

Legend:

Letter Grades = Quality of Competition measured by opponents' time on ice, Converted into Letter Grades for simplicity
p60 = points per 60 minutes
CF% = Corsi For Percentage (i.e. shot attempts for percentage)
xGF% = Expected Goals For Percentage (i.e. shot attempt percentage adjusted for shot quality) - this stat is already adjusted for zone deployment and game score
In Brackets = CF% and xGF% relative to team
dsv% = difference between save percentage and expected save percentage

Not the best quality but it doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully just concussion protocol to pull him out.
Blunden got rocked by Borgman in preseason, definite retaliation and should get a huge suspension

this is actually true, and it's kinda surprising. Chabot had a good world juniors but Dermott has been much stronger in the NHL
It's easier for someone like Chabot getting more hype due to being a 1st round pick and being the MVP of the World Juniors, where as Dermott was a 2nd round pick and played on a World Junior team who finished in 6th place.

I agree and it must be hard to keep the players involved in every game, there is no real pressure on them to win, just pride.

Serious question. Do you think, given our position in the standings (too good to drop, division to weak to catch up), we will call up some youth to play, or adjust our strategy at the deadline?

Hopefully we can get back on track. Last couple games haven't been that good for us despite winning. Matthews had one of his worst games last game, so I'm looking at him to have a monster game.

It's always a tough game against the Sens and they've been on a roll lately. I hope we are as well.

Look at how Matthews bounced back against Anaheim when his previous game against Boston was not that good.
