I think it's because of the different expectations. Anything but gold for Canada is basically the same as what we, the US, is doing now...ie, not medaling at all.

if we had played the whole 60 minutes we could have won, instead we we took undisciplined penalties, and we played as if we were guaranteed a victory. We deserved what we got.

What a game! It is a pity that Russia many allow Canadians in the third period. But most importantly, that we won! In the second period showed a real champions game.

- Canada is horse's anus for 2 periods, doing stupid things, taking bad penalties
- I don't appreciate games with a lot of lucky deflections. I prefer skill not luck. Russia built that lead on Canada being crap and those bounces. Meh to that.
- Russia plays like complete horses anus from 6-1 to 6-5 in the 3rd

And my biggest problem... literally the two worst calls I've seen in my life (not calling the Connelly push, or the breakaway slash). Those refs should be suspended or fired. When you're not calling the most obvious penalties there can possibly be just because a team is up a lot, you're doing your job wrong and someone can do it better. Russia winning averted a disaster tonight for the sanctity of international hockey reffing
