Seattle finds better players in later rounds anyways, also these will be late firsts tbh

1sts have a lot more value in the NFL than any other sport. Yeah this years will likely be late but who knows next season, they could be 3rd in the division then

This reminds me of the Keyshawn trade, where you can't argue with getting two firsts for a non-premium position but the Jets being the Jets it'll still likely bite us in the ass.

Seattle better do a deal with Adams first unlike the Rams with Ramsey.

Only issue I have is that this upcoming season is so up in the air with Covid hard to know how it will all play out.

With Wilson the Hawks still have the best QB in the division so that counts for a lot. He has been no worse than 9-7, the one time they didn’t make the playoffs.

They do need to ultimately replace Brown at LT down the line. Which is why I wished they too Josh Jones when he fell this past draft. But, see how it goes. Guess they felt the need to go big.

It's completely true, and does make me feel better. Almost all of their first rounders have been total head scratchers.

Finally the secondary is looking "Pete worthy" again. It's his thing.

Jets did pretty good with the return imo. Wouldn’t give two 1sts for a safety no matter how good he is. Jamal is the best going obviously, just seems like a steep price. Worth it to Seattle it if he puts them over the top though.

Blair is their SS who is more a hitting like Cam. Adams will be their new Thomas with his range.

it’s a big price but I can understand them doing this given that Russ is 31 and has 5 high impact years left though he can play into his late 30’s but would then expect a drop off in his mobility which is key to his success.

That seems like a lot to pay for a safety, even if the player is really good. Especially with the new contract looming and cap situation uncertain.

Pretty good return for the (seemingly perpetually) rebuilding Jets all things considered. A lot for the Seahawks to give up for a safety.

Two 1st rounders for a S is insane.

Later round safeties hit for all teams. As a Bears fan Adrian Amos was one of the best (if not the best) players in his Bears draft class and he was a 4th rounder iirc.

Nice haul for the Jets. Great addition for the Seahawks.
That being said...
The Jets have been rebuilding for over 10 years now. Darnold is entering his third season. The time to start winning is today, but their roster + Gase as coach = another 6-8 season.

Those picks will likely be late in the first round as well. It's going to be years until they have impact players from those picks- if they get any impact players at all. The haul is nice, but the Jets are much worse in the short term. Adams is a beast. Losing him will have a tremendous impact on their defense.

Adams is versatile as hell. He's not your typical safety. You can look up how many QB sacks and pressures he has for proof. Carroll is going to have a field day utilizing him.

Well, he better be worth it. He'll ask for a market re-setting S deal in a year.

Not too long ago there was quite a bit of discussion about the Bears giving up 2 1st roundest for Mack, who was consensus one of the best D players in the NFL.

2 1sts is a good haul, but Chicago isn't anywhere near as consistent as Seattle is or was. Seattles picks are damn near a forgone conclusion to be in the 20s. That wasnt the case for Chicago who was down right terrible before aqcuiring Mack.
