Are the Oilers ever going to score 5-on-5?

Is RNH ever going to register a shot on net?

Is Hall ever going to actually beat a player 1-on-1?

Is Whitney ever going to stop being terrible?

Is Dubnyk ever going to be scored on while still in the butterfly position?

Stay tuned; we will find out later!

****.

Sad but true. This is just not a good team, i got jumped on for saying this earlier but it's unfortunately true.

Listening to some of you is so depressing.

Flames score. "**** this team sucks, they're pathetic".

Oilers score. "ZOMG, Schultz so sick, right back in the game".

Repeat for 60 minutes.

I'm actually impressed some of you can get so high and then so low all in one week, game, or even sometimes in one period.

2 goals all petrys fault not taking his man, coasting back into play because hes watching the puck. Leads 2 guys wide open for goals.

This game isnt dubys fault,

On the 1st one Dubnyk should've expected the puck to go to the open man as RNH had his man tied up in the slot. That said IMO it's unfair to blame it all on Dubnyk, Petry needs to be better.

It pisses me off, as a former goalie, how little people seem to understand about the position.

How often does a goalie save a player's shot when he's wide open below the hashmarks, especially if he's an offensive player. NOT OFTEN.

And the Oilers have been giving up chances like that WAY too much this year.

It's not like they don't know how to prevent them either, which is the most frustrating thing. Against Vancouver, the last 2 periods against SJ, and for a good chunk of the game against LA, they have prevented those quality crease-area and low slot chances. But when they decide to allow them, they hand them away in bunches. Bunch of flower delivery boys.

2006 Carolina Hurricanes disagree

Umm, what?

You mean that 2nd overall in the Eastern Conference with a 100pts topline center Carolina Hurricanes? I'm not following. Martin Gerber was their freakin' goalie of a decent chunk of that season

Not sure the point trying to be made, but that's a swing and a miss.

This game isn't dubnyks fault, but with his save percentage on the year we are extremely lucky to have won a game this year. We aren't making the playoffs with this guy and when we are so good in a few years we aren't winning a cup with him.
