I don't hate Dubnyk. He's a great backup.

But we just signed this guy to a #1 goalie deal and he's not consistently backing it up.

Sad to say we probably need to start diving. These refs call everything, it's ****ed. Giordano just drops to the ice like he got sniped, and they call Horcoff for GI. OK. They're just itching to blow the whistle.

Yup but the refs would just give us the penalty for diving :shakehead

Dubnyk is horrible period. It's always about making that 1 save. He was given the number 1 spot. He never really earned it.

And with that said, Luongo wouldve had that

He really isn't. He's not Lunquist, but he's fine for what he is, it hardly matters the goaltender when you can't begin to play defense infront of him.

Are the Oilers ever going to score 5-on-5?

Is RNH ever going to register a shot on net?

Is Hall ever going to actually beat a player 1-on-1?

Is Whitney ever going to stop being terrible?

Is Dubnyk ever going to be scored on while still in the butterfly position?

Stay tuned; we will find out later!

****.

This. Slightly appalled at all the hate dubynk's getting this season

He deserves it. Just watching his body react is brutal. If its not a crest shot, he is struggling to get back in position. He doesn't play the puck the same way Kipper plays it. Dubnyk is playing the way Reimer did after Allaire coached him. Not be a goalie but just a blocker.

People on this forum seem to think cynicism, even unwarranted cynicism, is better than looking at any positive. ****, Dubnyk hasn't even let in a bad goal and people want to run the guy out of town, idiots. Should be complaining about Petry and losing his man twice causing two goals to keep it consistent, hell, let's run him out of town as well, he sucks too.

Agreed.

Because he has been shaky at best? The defense hasn't helped him either and they deserve a lot of the blame also but even on his saves, he looks extremely shaky. It's still very early in the season but he doesn't look confident at all and it's very concerning, perhaps he's feeling the pressure of being the #1 now. It would be nice to see him make a big save once in while.

2 goals all petrys fault not taking his man, coasting back into play because hes watching the puck. Leads 2 guys wide open for goals.

This game isnt dubys fault,

IMO Petry was always weak defensively. I never say anything more than a 3-4 max potential
