SARATOGA SALE: The Saratoga 2-day sale ended today and the fireworks came with consecutive hip numbers 44 and 45. The former, a son to Medaglia d' Oro, was auctioned for $900,000. The latter, a Curlin colt, sold for a cool $1,000,000 to a partnership including Mike Repole who co-founded Vitaminwater. Hip 186 sold for $1,000,000 on the second day, a colt from Orb. Hip 226 sold for $995,000 on the second day. The total yearling sales exceeded $24,000,000.
SARATOGA HANDLE TO DATE: $279,099,864 through 16 racing dates, up 5.6% from last year.

- Philly seems to wait for Mondays and Tuesdays to produce healthy payouts. The $1 Pick 3 paid $4,167.60 and the $.50 Pick 4 more than $5,700 following race 8. The next race produced a $1.00 Pick 3 that paid $2,217.
Presque Isle (Pennsylvania):
- Jeremy Rose won twice through four races tonight. He has been victorious five of his last 11 rides spanning three cards. Rose is also 8-for-23 (35%) this month at the track.
Finger Lakes (New York):
- Following race 9, the $.50 Pick 4 paid over $17,000.
