Detroit cleared the Datz contract today, I fully expect Stamkos to be a Red Wing July 1st if he doesn't re-sign in Tampa.

It takes two to tango. In 2014 he tried trading three 2nd round picks for a 1st and no one bit. What exactly do you want him to do with the 2nd rounder?

Any team can talk to Stamkos in 15 minutes, so we are well past the point of trading for a player's negotiation rights.
