Just wondering how Mior is playing this year? Has he improved from last year with a defensively chllenged team? His numbers don't look too bad so far based on his team's record. What are his chances with the '06 draft?

Any comments would be appreciated.

He's looking pretty good so far.

He's more confident and seems willing to be a key figure for a rebuilding team. Still is letting the odd weak goal, but with 40+ shots against per game that can happen. Still needs to work on his puck-handling, and will definitely need to control rebounds as he will face plenty of shots. The Rocket team does have some excellent talent, but only has one 20 year old and one European. They are also facing injury troubles with D-man Gragnani out for a lengthy period and Dubuc now hurt as well. If the team gels they could do some damage. Mior's back-up Antoine Lafleur looks quite good in limited play. Lafleur is a big kid with good fundamentals, and is worth keeping an eye on.

As far as Mior is concerned, he has wanted to be #1 and he now has the chance. He's off to a good start and could see his stock rise if he continues to play well.
