He can't focus on development in the NHL. He needs to focus on putting the players in positions to succeed.

Yeah I'm not as convinced he's as bad a coach as everyone thinks. It was just foolhardy to bring him into the morass that was the Oilers organization and think that he could somehow right the ship.

Ales Hemsky would be alright. Would bring some secondary scoring to the team. Can play up the line-up and could be around 1 year 1mil. Stafford would be another guy to look at. Maybe Dominic Moore too. We are going to be bargain bin diving if we sign someone this off-season.

Brandon Montour, Ondrej Kase, Shea Theodore, Nick Ritchie. Like it or not, Eakins helped develop guys in San Diego that helped bury the Oilers in the playoffs.



They have almost 20M in space and they're going to do nothing.

Draisaitl only takes half tops, and there's still going to be room for bonuses and a trade deadline acquisition after that.

Not a single one of those players were overly good in the series vs us. If anything it was Getzlaf, Kesler, Rakell and Silfverberg who buried the Oilers (if we're not counting the refs).
