Moving back and recouping picks would be great but I'm curious how people would feel about Yamamoto at 21?

Assuming we take a fwd at 7 I'd prefer a D man with 21. But Yamamoto at 21 seems like a good pick; I think he'll do very well in the league that just kept getting quicker

trading up to three would be so stupid unless it's guaranteed Petersson would go before us

I haven't really followed any prospects leading up to the draft this year. All I've heard is that it's a weaker draft. Is there anyone who we might grab at 3 that would be worth the 7 and 21? Is there a drop off after the first 2, 3, 5, 10, etc.?

If niemi gets bought out, is there any interest on a short term sub $2m per year deal. Could Allaire work magic here? Or do we just look elsewhere, low risk/ low ceiling backup?

I thought Kinkaid would do well here with our goalie coach. obviously at very low cost 1-2 years.

Jas- On Mittlestad being NHL ready, yeah I am not surprised that is being reported. He is such a great skater. Look at what Marner did this season with his skating alone, although he slowed down during the year. Realistically Mittlestad need at least a year -- but he could also raise some eyes instantly.

Think he would be our target at 3 if not one of Nico or Patrick falls.
