Wellwood to St. Louis, LOL. The only reason you say this is because they are small. St. Louis is a speedster to go along with his skill, neither of these guys have that speed. PM Bouchard seems to be a better comparison.

I might be wrong, but wasn't the original knock on Martin St. Louis speed (due to small stature, he wasn't quick enough). I thought that's what he spent years trying to fix in his game.

Wellwood or Locke would have to tie a rocket booster to their rear to get the speed St. Louis has. Size and skill-wise they are close, but neither skates near as well as St. Louis.

I'd compare both to Ribeiro more than anyone else.

exactly- i think wellwood and ribeiro are very similar. i guess leafs fans just gotta hope that wellwood doesn't wind up in the fetal position during a playoff game
