I was there! Think they played 2 songs from St Anger. Was also the live debut of Dyers Eve!
Small world..

Hard to believe that tour was almost 20 years ago now.
Not sure how your experience was, but another thing I recollect from that Forum show was the parking. Felt like the hike from our vehicle to the building was at least a mile. It was like parking at the Rose Bowl.

ozzy osbourne:

speak of the devil
blizzard of ozz
the ultimate sin
bootleg: from the '84 tour somewhere in japan. soundboard stereo show where ozz calls 20,000 fans a bunch of dumb c**nts during suicide solution. i think the title of that album is something like beast in the east.

depending on my mood:
diary of a madman
no rest for the wicked
bark at the moon
no more tears

after no more tears since then i just tuned out as the releases after that just don't do anything for me.

I realize this is a highly subjective ranking. And I don't mean to imply that there are any bad albums in this discography, just some that are more successful than others in my opinion.

My ranking would be a little different of course, but I was wondering, where's the magical mystery? Is it not considered an official album? It's my second favorite, either way...

Purely an oversight on my part. I think it is a really good album, too. Here's my revised list:

The Beatles (17 albums)

1) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2) Rubber Soul
3) Revolver
4) Help
5) Abbey Road (side two--the medley side) *
6) Magical Mystery Tour
7) Yesterday and Today
8) The White Album
9) Hard Day's Night
10) Let It Be
11) Something New
12) Beatles VI
13) Meet the Beatles
14 Abbey Road (side one--the singles side) *
15) Beatles '65
16) The Beatles Second Album
17) Introducing...The Beatles
18) Yellow Submarine

....so probably not as high as you would like it to be, but still way up there.

Oh, any fan of the Beatles is ok to me. Part of the joy is that there's material for everyone. My gf and I can't agree on a single song but "In My Life", and we're still both great fans.

I'd go with something like:

1) White Album
2) MM Tour
3) Sgt Pepper
4) Yellow Submarine (this is where I think we must disagree the most, I love all the songs on side A)
5) Abbey Road
6) Let It Be
7) the older stuff.... Revolver has my favorite song, but also has stuff that I can't stand

I guess I don't see The White Album as a Beatles album. I see it more as John, Paul, George, and, to a lesser extent, Ringo album as if they all started out on their solo careers a little early.

I See You ( I would put this at the bottom of the page because the first 2 are classics)

Gonna do favorite Beatles from Beatles For Sale and on, which that and Help! is considered that bridge era from early Beatles (which I don't care for much) to when they started doing the drugs and experimenting in the studio with Rubber Soul and onwards

tier 1
Revolver
Abbey Road
Magical Mystery Tour
White Album
Sgt Peppers

tier 2
Let It Be
Rubber Soul
Beatles For Sale
Yellow Submarine
Help!
