Despite the loss, there were some nice things. Vlasic's goal might be his highlight of the season. Eklund looked decent, and they started period 3 pretty strong. It's preseason so onto the next game.

Some of the real time stats can be found at the game center (TOI, shots, FO%), but I'm not aware of a public webpage with skating speed/distance or shot speed.

Better than I expected but not a standout. He made a couple of nice defensive plays and passes but otherwise was so-so.

Yea, was kinda hoping for more out of Eklund in the first half. Generally delivered in the second half.

He was “just okay”. He looked great compared to the rest of the forwards, who were all sub-replacement level. Eklund did look like he belongs in the NHL, but he wasn’t great.

I’m more worried about the Blackwood standing out, because the beginning of that game was rough for him. Guess he improved along the way and maybe that’s what he is pointing out, or just wants to build some confidence in him with some praise
