Providence has jumped out to a 2-0 lead over UNH with 1:09 left in the 2nd. Janko has the opening goal and Gilmour a goal and a helper! Gillies 26 saves.

Is/was he on a strong team or a relatively mediocre one?

Also, I believe he'll be AHL-eligible next season, right? Do you think he'll come over? I'm actually pretty happy with this 7th round pickup, I thought he had some promise watching some of his international performances.

He was AHL eligible at 18 because he was not drafted out of the CHL. There has been talk about him wanting to come over, but until he makes it I will take a wait and see approach.

And his team was upset (and nearly swept) in the 1st round. They were the #6 team in the league and were playing the #11 team.

Colgate won 3-2 over Dartmouth so they sweep their best of 3 in the ECAC Tourney.

Boston University won 5-0 and swept Merrimack in the best of 3 and advance in the hockey east tourney. Hockey was held off the score sheet.

Providence won 2-1 to force a 3rd game in their best of 3 series. Gilmour had 1g, 1a including the GWG, Janko 1g. Gillies had 35 saves.

I think I will make an NCAA tournament thread and include the Brackets for all the Conference championships.

I've heard reports that he plays a surprisingly physical game for his frame? I'll try and find the link.
