Prediction: Kane will score 100 points either this year or next

Bumping this old thread after Kane moved into a tie for 2nd place in the Art Ross race following the Kings game.

I really thought he'd be playing more even strength with Toews these last two years. However, the Sharp-Toews-Hossa and Saad-Toews-Hossa lines have been awesome the last two years, and I see why Kane isn't up there in Q's system.

I'll be honest...not too confident about Kane's chances right now. I think he might make it close though. I expect a good roasting from everyone if he doesn't hit 100.

I think he'll land between 80 and 90, which is probably his ceiling.

If he makes it to 100, that would be pretty special.

I think he'll max out in the 85-90 range because of Q's system. Let him go hog wild offensively with little regard for D and he'll easily surpass 100.

So Kane's currently on pace for ~42 goals and ~94 points. He needs 15 goals in 33 games to hit 40, and 34 points to hit 90. Very doable

100 point seasons are really rare nowadays. I'll say he gets another one at some point, but that's probably it.

I think he can get another one if things remain as they are right now. With only one 100 point scorer in the last 2 seasons, the league might reduce the size of goalie pads in order to try and boost scoring.

This is the first season he was able to play 75+ games since he made the prediction, so as far as I'm concerned, it still counts.
