Lupul - 22g 27a - 49p
Bozak - 18g 30a - 48p
Reilly - 10g 29a - 39p

Be pleasantly surprised if anyone hits 30 goals or 60 points this season

JVR - 23 goals, 48 points
Kadri - 15 goals, 45 points
Rielly - 8 goals, 45 points
Bozak - 13 goals, 40 points
Lupul - 17 goals, 36 points

Think there's a chance Rielly leads this team in points next year. Our leading scorer should be just right at the ~50 point mark

3. Morgan Rielly - 52 pts
4. Joffrey Lupul - 48 pts (given he plays about 65 games)

Cant see anyone getting to the 70 point area

Kadri and JVR have the ability, but will probably top out at around 60 points, we just dont have the offense overall imo.

Kessel would drive the offence on his line, Kadri is probably the only true playmaker left in the top 6. JVR was always more of a supplemental scorer.

Although Nylander, Marner and Kapanen have incredible skill so our low-scoring days wont last long!

JVR, Kadri and then what? Hope Lupul stays healthy? Hope Bozak can play without Kessel, assuming Tyler is still on the team by then? Dunno...looks like a long, low scoring year.

This thread is hilarious from the outside looking in. I guess optimism reigns in Leaf Nation as the thread is full of projections of multiple players with careers highs this upcoming season.

I think I read one that had two D men with 50+ points but didn't account for the forwards supporting the assists the D men are going to get. Assists from Venus hahaha

Love Leaf Nation!

JVR - 26G 28A 54P
Kadri - 19G 32A 51P
Holland - 16G 23A 39P
Lupul - 17G 20A 37P
Bozak - 12G 22A 34P

Can't see Arcobello, Spaling, Beck Matthias or Parenteau hitting 30 points
Matthias just put up 27 points and should very well be seeing more ice time this year.

I'd say there is a very good chance he hits 30

Wow, PAP is really underestimated around here.

One thing to note is that a great deal of the points Kessel/Bozak/JVR line put up weren't because of high scoring rates, but because they got some of the highest ATOI of any forward in the NHL:

Kessel was the only one where the math made sense to load him up on icetime (he maintains one of the highest G/60 and Primary A/60 in the game).

P.A. actually has similar top-end 2nd line scoring rates to JVR, but plays a much more complete possession game than JVR (or Bozak):

I'm guessing they don't load up any one line on icetime this year. It'll probably be a real scoring by committee agenda/rolling 3-4 lines. That will probably reduce any individual line or player's point totals.

But P.A.P. is a pretty good player. He should help our PP a lot. He's obviously doesn't possess Kessel's shot, but his G/60 is as good as anyone else on the team, and he has a wicked one-timer.

So... I'm going to venture my guess:

Kadri - 65
PAP - 60
JVR - 60
Lupul - 55
Nylander - 45P in the last 45GP of the season :)

Player|Position|Games|Goals|Assists|Points
Nazem Kadri|C|82|25|36|61
James van Riemsdyk|L|82|27|29|56
Joffrey Lupul|R|82|23|26|49
Tyler Bozak|C|73|18|21|39
Morgan Rielly|D|55|6|26|32

Predicting a Rielly injury and Lupul to play all 82 games? This is a contender for the most bold prediction in the thread so far.

Wow, PAP is really underestimated around here.

I somewhat agree here, pretty sure he's going to be assigned to be the new PP specialist or top line forward. If he stays healthy (big if) I could see him putting up Jason Blake numbers as I see them at the same place in their career heading into Toronto.

Given the ice time I think he'll be a pretty good asset to trade at the deadline.

JvR - 28 Goals, 24 Assists - 52 points
Kadri - 20 goals, 25 assists - 45 points
Lupul - 22 goals, 20 Assists - 42 points
PAP - 21 goals, 19 Assists - 40 points
Bozak - 14 goals, 26 Assists - 40 points

I think it's going to be a tough, tough year.

I'd say this is pretty close.

Nobody will hit 60 points

What I feel we will likely see is a lot of scoring by committee. This hockey will be boring, defensive hockey with a lot of low scoring games. At least that's what I feel we will see. They will play the "hot hand" on any given night.

You would be a fool to believe anyone on this team could reach 60 points this year.
I would be pleasantly surprised if we had 2 players sniff at 50.

I foresee a scene like:

JvR - 55 pts
Kadri - 45 pts
Bozak - 40 pts
Lupul - 30 pts
PaP - 30 pts

I am most unsure that Joffrey will play 60 games and in that case, we should see another 20-30 point season from him.

This is going to be a tough year to watch this team and we're going to have many people on the ledge ready to jump.

Why, though? Isn't this what everyone wanted?

1. Kadri 22-35-57
2. JVR 30-23-53
3. Bozak 12-30-42
4. Rielly 9-29-38
5. Matthias 15-18-33

It's going to be a sad year, but needed

Never put Lupul because he's Lupul and will get injured
