Hoping for a stream, can't wait to see Micke Granlund in small-rink action against strong competition.

I know nothing about any of the teams, how good is Finland this year?

Its probably better than Finland ever had in wjc, its really skilled team for a finnish junior team. I dont know much about the others level but I think it has a solid chance to challenge anyone, I mean like even in offensive skill, not only with good teamplay.

I suppose it's Halinen vs. Hämäläinen and Nyqvist vs. Hovinen for the last two roster spots in this game. I'm guessing it will be Hämäläinen and Nyqvist that get to final team.

And I'm guessing that those two will not make it. :) Halinen has better defensive playing abilities than Hämäläinen has and I just think that in offense Finland has already enough offensive, but not defensive forwards, so IMO Halinen makes it to final team.

Nyqvist is smaller than Hovinen and after Valkonen got dropped, I think that Hovinen is the best alternative to the top-6 from the weakest part of defense (Hovinen, Nyqvist, Mäkinen). Mäkinen is Helminen's sauna-friend (you know what I mean :naughty:) so he will probably be in final team and I think that Nyqvist will not, because he hasn't been better than Hovinen in K-Vantaa.

Well then good luck to Finland! My second favorite team after Canada!

I agree all what you say, still i hope that those who drops are Hämäläinen and Mäkinen, but like you say, Mäkinen is Helminen's Sauna friend. :sarcasm:

I just got this from the television discussion thread;

Pre-Tournemant Games

Dec 22)Canada vs Sweden Tsn2
Dec 23)Canada vs Finland Tsn

So this schedule is wrong? Any chance this game is on TSN tonight or is it TSN2?

I am so pumped.

I think that this tournament will help Maatta get some attention. He has been a rock in London and I hope he has a great tourney.

Still hope Canada wins though. ;)
