Keefe had some pretty supportive words of this guy. Thoughts?
He had a pretty good camp. He’s one of those guys that teams need, you don’t notice him till he does something that makes you notice him. Not a bad thing. Like Keefe says, he rarely makes mistakes. Skates well and is positionaly sound. He has the makings a very good 3C if he continues to chip in a goal every few games.

Can he be a permanent fixture with this team this year? Going to the game tonight, interested in getting a closer look at him

His faceoff percentage is a little weak, hopefully that gets better as he gets more experience. But wouldn’t be surprised if he was better on the wing.

I like that both of his goals have been the result of good positioning and an NHL quality shot. His main benefit is his defensive play so he doesn't need to be amazing offensively, but it bodes well that he should be at least passable

He did win 5 of 8 against Pittsburgh, which is his best game so far. If he can keep that up, and continue to grow his game, we might just have our 3C. Limited sample, but he's on a 30 point pace, which isn't terrible.

Very good hockey IQ, just makes the right reads with and without the puck, at both ends of the ice, very consistently. Also a stocky build and a wide, stable stance. His agility is “meh”, doesn’t really have high end skill in any one area, but very reliable. And who knows, sometimes these guys have more upside than you’d expect, like Patric Hornqvist.

I think he is a better long term fit to replace Engvall or Kerfoot on the wing, and as someone who can spot center rather than be a full time center, but he's been playing well the past few games.
