I hate this team
Yeah that explains the 9:16 he played in game 2.Konecny doesn't play PP1 or PK, that's where the time discrepancy came in.

Mrazek, Simmonds and a 2nd for...?
7:00, so yesThat Winnipeg game starts in like 30 minutes, right?
I didn't
I disagree.
If Konecny was on the top line, he’d be shut down the way Giroux has been.
You can’t beat a team like the Pens with one line.
7:00, so yes
Oh god, somehow I completely forgot you were millions of miles away from civilizationIt's 5:28 a.m. here and it's too much math for me to do - 12 AND -1. I'm not even going to bother trying to do -13 with clock numbers, **** that.

In any case, yes, the game starts in about half an hour.
The statement is foolish regardless. One player isn’t changing your fortune with winning a Stanley Cup or not. It’s hard to win one in general no matter who you are. You can have a contending caliber roster & still not win a championship in hockey.
Voracek hasn’t played well this playoff series or the last one but that can be said about everyone too. This team isn’t very good & has a moronic coaching staff. If those guys don’t play well we’re screwed. Last series went six games & this one will likely go five or six too. It’s still not a large sample to pull from. They’re not the only players to have tough playoff series before & wont be the last. They just don’t have much rope to potentially redeem themselves as the standard needs to high & right off the bat for this team to succeed.
If you’re trading Voracek, you might as trade Giroux too as it’s not like he’s playing well if that’s your justification for moving on. Long term you’re just setting the window back some more as we just squeezed into the playoffs which we needed every bit of Voracek’s production to do so. We’ve basically been rebuilding for this entire decade. How much further do we want to go?
You're assuming trading Voracek will automatically make the team worse and not accounting for anything that the flyers would get it return or potential players they could add with his cap space.

A big positive is that Sanheim, Patrick, Konecny, Ghost, Provorov, and Couturier are all playing quite well.
I'm more pleased by them than I am worried about Simmonds and Voracek sucking.
eat drink and be merryIt's 4:57 a.m. and I am wide awake. What the **** am I supposed to do now?

Compare the rosters.
Because point/game players in their primes under contract don't grow on trees. It's a very fair assumption. I'm sure Toronto won the Kessel trade too. Can't win with Phil.

One thing I will say about Jake is that, unlike some of the ridiculous complaints and main board threads we see on here, I can understand people who scream at him - his play is not very easy on the eyes a lot of the time and it's easy to understand how his bad moments linger in people's minds. It's a struggle sometimes not to want to fire him into the Sun. He wears a brilliant Keystone Cops/Clark Kent camouflage.
