What are people's thoughts on possible lines in the playoffs?
Ill take my shot:

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
MacArthur/Frattin-Kadri-Lupul
Kulemin-McClement-Komarov (Shutdown Line)
MacArthur/Frattin-Grabovski-Mclaren/Orr

Top 2 lines are set in stone I believe except the other winger for Kadri and Lupul.
Based on Carlyle's history in the playoffs he uses a shutdown line and Kulie Jay and Leo will be solid.
Theres no room for two fighters in the playoffs unless a series gets out of hand so you have a 4th line with limited minutes who still could contribute offensively and have some toughness.

Thoughts?

MacArthur & Frattin have done absolutely nothing the last half of the season, and don't deserve to play with Lupul and Kadri.

I don't think Frattin should be there tbh, he hasn't really been all that great without Kadri making him look good minus a good start to the season. He's an injury guy, so he could be handy, or 4th line.

JvR Bozak Kessel
Lupul Kadri Kulemin
MacA Grabovski Komarov
Hamilton McClement Orr/Mclaren/Frattin

Phaneuf Gunnarson
Gardiner Liles
Fraser Franson

I think Orr and Mclaren will split the games. I think the first and third lines are set as well as Lupul and Kadri. I'm not sure who will play on the wing, but my guess is MacArthur.

Pretty much the same. I don't see Frattin or Gardiner touching the ice in the playoffs unless an injury or one of our players has an abysmally horrid game.

Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
MacArthur - Grabovski - Komarov
McLaren - McClement - Orr

Phaneuf - Gunnarsson
Fraser - Franson
Liles - O'Byrne

When we're holding a lead or playing a line that can't be contained by any of our lines:

Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
Kulemin - McClement - Komarov
MacArthur - Grabovski - Orr

Kulemin being double shifted.

We can make set lines. But I hope they roll out something like this:

JvR-Bozak-Kessel (scoring 1)
Frattin-Kadri-Lupul (scoring 2)
Komarov-McClement-Kulemin (shutdown)
Mac-Grabovski- "Fresh Rover Winger" (Frattin, Komarov, Kule)
McLaren or Orr (one plays odd shift to keep the game clean)

I think Randy is capable of running out 4 strong lines, and plugging in Orr or McLaren so teams know we mean business.

I believe that Carlyle will decisively choose the best lines for our top 9 forwards but I'm personally scared about his 4th line decisions. I hope to god he doesn't put Orr and Mclaren in the 4th line simultaneously, I'd rather have it neither of them in, and only slot them in if there's rough stuff or fishy business.

Top two lines are set:
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin

Bottom is a bit of a mix since they are struggling offensively:
Macarthur - Grabovski - Komarov
Mclaren/Frattin - Mclemment - Orr
X- Hamilton, Colborne
Defense Pairing:
Dion - Gunnarsson
Fraser - Franson
OByrne - Liles
X- Kostka, Gardiner

PP:
JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Dion - Franson
PP2:
Lupul-Grabovski-Kadri
Gunnarsson-Liles

PK1:
Mclemment-JVR
Dion-Gunnarsson
PK2:
Bozak-Kulemin/Grabovski?
Fraser-Liles

I think I got most of them

Honestly I would stick with current 1st and 2nd line, then 3rd line:
MacA - Mcclement - Komarov
4th line w/e.

Grabo has been awful, so has macA. Kulemin has to be on kadri's line, he's very useful on that line.

I think giving Colborne some shifts on Grabovski's line may enable a more effective cycle game. That line is going to help us wear out our opposition and will increase shots at net as well.

Komarov - Grabovski - Colborne

If Komarov has to go onto Frattin's line, use Frattin instead. His strong two-way game would enable a possession game. We really need to be doing that, because our defenceman are going to be facing a lot of offensive pressure in our zone.

if Fratty can comeback to his former self
and Clarke pick it up again

game over
Playoffs are like a new season.

All stats reset to 0s.

Anything can happen. Mac, Grabo, Frattin and Gardiner could all come out swinging and become the go to guys.

The good teams always have that secondary scoring come up big for them.

Shutdown line.

Komarov on the fourth line makes no sense.

The main role of Komarov is to be a pest to the other teams better players. Playing on the fourth line will hinder him by only playing against the other teams worse players.

Also, taking nothing away from Mclaren, he wouldn't fair well in a shutdown role.
