A week ago, I posted this:

Glencross: 28g - 24a - 52 points
Backlund: 23g - 25a - 48 points
Hudler: 17g- 30a - 47 points

Raymond: 20g - 18a - 38 points
Stajan: 12g - 28a - 40 points
Jones: 10g - 12a - 22 points

Baertschi: 15g - 25a - 40 points
Monahan: 25g - 17a - 42 points
Colborne: 17g - 22a - 39 points

Bollig: 7g - 8a - 15 points
Bouma: 5 g - 9a - 14 points
McGrattan: 6g - 4a - 10 points

Giordano: 15g- 40a - 55 points
Brodie: 8g - 32 a - 40 points

Smid: 2g - 6a - 8 points
Wideman: 10g - 25a - 35 points

Russell: 6g - 22a - 28 points
Engelland: 4g - 6a - 10 points

I think Glencross finally hit 50 points. Giordano can easily replicate his previous season with more points (if he plays all 82 games).

Also, these point totals are assuming they all play 82 games.

You really expect to see some big offensive jumps from our D this year! I hope Brodie, Wideman, and Russell hit those numbers, but I doubt they will.

If Gio hits 70pts he will win the Norris. I know he had a crazy-good season and was on pace for similar numbers had he played all 82 games, but I just don't see it.

Besides the D, I really like your numbers for the forwards! They seem realistic and solid! (except for the Baertschi math:sarcasm: )

OOPS.

16 + 12 = 28. Wow.

(PS, Colborne is off, too: 16 + 16 does not equal 36.)

Mine mysteriously is exactly the same amount of goals from last season...
I don't know if Baertschi or Gaudreau or is both make it...

257 goals would put them about 4th in the NHL based on last year stats.

If they give up the same number of goals as last year (241), they would be +16 in goal differential, good enough for 11th in the NHL, and an easy playoff spot.

Clicked on thread to see what people would think Gaudreau would get and not seeing any love for him. I was thinking he would be almost a lock to make the team and 40 - 50 points but maybe I am overestimating him. Thoughts ?

We just don't know if he will be playing NHL full time.

I'll wait till after training camp and even the exhibition games before making any predictions. So much can happen from now till the start of the regular season.

Flames have just signed Devin Setoguchi and I don't see Johnny Gaudreau on that roster.

There will be at least 1-2 other players from Adirondack that will make the team. Could be a trade as well before the season starts.

Do we think this is a gurantee?

Bolded are ones I changed/added. Keep in mind that these are totals based on an 82 game play.

Why does everyone seem to have Hudler at 47-50 points? He hasn't dropped below 50 points in a season in like five years and he's basically guaranteed top line/top PP unit minutes.

Because he generally relies on people to finish, and until we know what we have in a lot of our young players, this team doesn't appear to have a lot of finish on the roster. Maybe Baertschi and Gaudreau are NHL players this year and if they are, that is a ton of finish thrown into the lineup immediately, but if they aren't ready, this team will struggle to find people for Hudler to get the puck to.

Also, he's only been OVER 50 points twice in his whole career.

Well, in the last six years he's only scored below a 50 point pace once, so I'd bet the over rather than the under.
