How? I haven't seen any pictures and can't see from any of the videos that his foot get stuck between the Leeds player's feet. That picture doesn't show it.

Elliott would have been free to move his right foot forward if it hadn't got pinned down by the trailing leg.

Anyway. I guess we disagree.

And quite a few agrees with me. So even if I'm wrong I think it is a joke that VAR and the ref behaved in the way they did. Not important in the bigger picture here, but I find it ridiculous how rational decision making completely brakes down under unusual circumstances. Part of the point of VAR is to try to distance yourself from the emotions on the pitch and a ref making calls with adrenaline etc. pumping.
