West Ham seem like they're playing this down a man instead of up man. Trying for quick hit attacks, not overloading on the ball, not retaining possession, etc.
Definitely didn't press their advantage at all. The game looked to lean closer to a draw than a win before Fornals scored.

That's not how you spell Fabinho. Great player though.
Rice has surpassed Fabinho now. Even better positionally, physically stronger, better on the ball and more impactful in the final third now too. Rice can almost be a hybrid 6/8 nowadays and do both jobs at an elite level.

Whenever Rice leaves West Ham for a top team that will be a popular opinion.

Fabinho is the best 6 in the world. He can play 8 or even CB. Rice will be a better player than Fabinho in 6 years or so, when he's 34 and close to retirement.

And to be clear, not ranking Rice above Fabinho doesn't mean he's a bad player by any means.

The other stuff is whatever and I have no interest getting into, but this is definitely true.

You see it already with the pundit types. Gary Neville banging on about "well he needs to go to a CL team". Buddy, leave alone he was already arguably the best English player in a Euro final, he'll be doing the same things in 10 months that he's doing every week now.

Yea, he’s an excellent player and I’d love to see United throw a bajillion dollars at him to replace McFred, but he’s not the best midfielder in the prem.

It's not a stretch to say that Rice, although an inferior player, is having a better season than Fabinho so far.
