Based on Granlund’s play this year and his cap hit thru 2025 with no retention it’s more like he blasted diarrhea directly into the mouth of Pens fans everywhere.

(Fully expecting Granlund to suddenly start playing better now that I’ve mocked him for one of the most abysmal analytical seasons by a top six player I can remember)

Somewhere in the top 6 on wing. Tried him at center at the beginning of the year and he sucked. So we put him back at wing where he was a 5v5 production deadzone

Everyone theyve moved is replaceable. The kids are being given the chance to end the season and show what theyre made of. Nashville did pretty solid with the return.

Shocked we got anything for him with his contract remaining. He's not been able to finish but he's still got some playmaking ability to him. His 5v5 as noted above has been the center of much discussion on the Nashville boards. Really frustrating year from him thus far. I'll say he has found a way to show a little something extra the last 6 or 7 games, so maybe he was ready to be out of here and they told him to do his part and Poile would do his.

Granlund having a rough season offensively and defensively but still leads Nashville in average time on ice among the forwards.

The Preds have been playing Granlund above his means on the top line for which he is no longer suited for.

That’s pretty underwhelming after waiving Kapanen and McGinn, trading Bleuger, etc. there was so much talk about Pens making a splash.

If that’s all that happens, Hextall is gone.
