I liked how manager Andrew Loog Oldham got a photography credit on that album.

Anyhow, any new non-news from the desert?

Watching the Glendale Workshop... Seriously, I don't like that Tindall guy answering to Norma Alvarez simple question about leguality of what they are doing... From a lawyer I would expect a yes or no answer but all he can say is... "In my opinion, I think that" and all evasives things like that... Never giving the facts...:shakehead

The Thread goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Thread has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

The Thread goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Thread has gone,
Let others follow it who can!
Let them a journey new begin,
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.

Yes Thomas, i'm silly to watch those workshops :). But I thought I could learn something else about management of a city... But Mayor still making the blame on GJ deal, Alvarez trying to save jobs, empty room, always the same and now a break of 10 minutes and we had a show of local amators artists... I think I begin to understand how it work there... Notice that I don't accuse mayor or Alvarez, just that they don't have the power they should have. In my sense they are the only two rationals with the new one on the left ;-)

So Glendale did their excise bond issue without incident on Friday. $239 million, 5% coupon, bid at premium. Not sure the effective yield but I guess 3% to 4%. Should help the cause.

What does that even mean? I'm just a dumb hockey fan, did they sell? does this mean they were able to reduce the debt payment as they hoped? In Killions mysterious conspiracy world, who is the buyer of these bonds and what hold do they now have on the new city council?

Yes they sold and yes the new bonds will reduce the debt service. They were purchased by several different investors in the municipal bond market.

These bonds are different than those that they tried to issue this past January. You could say those bonds had no collateral, while these have a lien against Glendale tax receipts.

These are also similar to the Hulzinger parking bonds inasmuch as those were to be backed by the parking fees that were supposed to be collected. The issue however is that even under the most ridiculously optimistic assumptions the parking fees would not cover the interest on the bonds for several years, so they were effectively Glendale general obligation bonds even though they were not technically so.

Curious as to the wording in the bonds. Was the wording strengthened to avoid being subordinated via council actions?
