The Kings managed to lose to the lowly Flyers this afternoon, so they're going to come into Pittsburgh looking for blood. Good thing tomorrow is the second of a b2b for L.A., so they'll obviously be exhausted and the Pens will skate rings around them.

Kapanen does the same thing over and over - gains the zone with speed, skates to the corner and fumbles the puck. It's honestly shocking to see a top 6 forward in the NHL fumble the puck every time they try to make a move...players on my beer league team have more puck control when making a deke than this dude, and that's not an exaggeration.

Kapanen doesn't seem to drive to the net enough. It's like he'll fly down the wing and only go toward the net if he feels he's got a step on the defender. But if he feels he can't just blow past the defender he'll stop up and curl at the top of the faceoff circle and wait for someone to drop the puck to.

He should be driving to the net every chance he gets. Even if he can't beat the defender cleanly, he might force them to take a penalty hooking/tripping him down.
