Geno's faceoffs have fallen off hard in general. That's probably the reason.

I'm honestly not opposed to using Carter as net front and faceoffs at this point. Would obviously prefer Rakell on the unit but I wouldn't hate it. According to Yohe - who did a deep dive - we're among the very worst teams at screening goalies on the PP, and it's killing us.

I don't think anyone even needed to do a "deep dive" to arrive at that conclusion. Anyone who just tunes in to watch the Pens when they're on the PP could see we have no real net front presence.

I meant he quantified the extent of the damage caused by this relative to past years. It took some research.

Oh, I'm not discounting the research. I'm just saying that's one of those things that's painfully obvious (along with idiotically using Rust on the top unit) even without having actual numbers to back it up.
