Pretty sure the ‘93 loss was the most embarrassing.

Pens had set the all time consecutive playoff wins record and were b2b cup winners vs this team that finished the season 3-8.

Don't forget rolling into the playoffs at 17-0-1.

In theory Sullivan had a great first line in his locker room.......and chose to put Sheary on it. Playing against the other teams top pair, is the last place in the world Sheary should ever be.

What line was that? And what was the second line going to be?

The team went 3-0 with Sheary on the ice, and had its best possession results. Not the results of someone in the last place in the world they should ever be.

I always forget that streak came at the end of the season. That team was a powerhouse like we will never see again as Pens fans.

So uh ya... nothing will ever top that exit in Pens lore.

What happened yesterday isn’t even in the same universe as ‘93.

I’ll never forget that 93 team. They were the best of that era of Pens teams. Basically Kasparaitis drilling our forwards every time they entered the offensive zone and Pilon destroying Artie turned us from destroyers into kittens.
