his p/60 is almost identical to Millers this year...
I think an unprotected first in this draft could be gold. I mean, i get what youre saying, but heck, then lets add in Jesse Puljujarvi for funsies and make it work
Which begs the question why we would trade Miller for RNH. If Nash and Grabner are traded (and possibly Zucc), we are going to be hurting on the wings. Miller has shown himself to be a better wing than center.
I'm sure Edmonton would like Miller for RNH. They need help on the wings and they have McDavid and Draisaitl at center. I'm not so sure they'd be willing to give up their unprotected first. I don't think they are going to make that kind of deal now, on the hopes that they make the playoffs. They are too far out at this point. Both teams would basically be rolling the dice, us hoping that their pick wins the lottery and them hoping it doesn't. I don't see either GM making a deal like that. Too much risk involved. After the lottery, maybe, but it would probably be a situation where if they are willing to trade the pick, it's because it isn't high enough to entice us to make the trade.
I would absolutely love to get a lottery pick and win the lottery, as I'm sure any Rangers fan would. But our best chance to do that is probably to miss the playoffs and hope we win the lottery with our own pick. We might get another lottery pick if we hold onto McD and trade him at the draft, but by that time we'll already know the pick isn't top 3.
