I mean, we swept Tampa. What makes you think the current situation would have been any different had we drawn pit? Especially with the league favoritism of the pens, we would have been even more screwed.

I mean we clearly played Pittsburgh better than Tampa. We got outplayed every game against Tampa. And look at the talent on Tampa’s blueline vs Pittsburgh.

I mainly just have a problem with being cool with playing Tampa as if they’re not some ridiculously stacked team that should be avoided at all costs. They are just that.

Everyone is loaded in comparison to us. If we are being realistic, we aren't close to legitimate contenders. If we squeak out of this round, we likely get bounced in round 2. In a way, facing the best team right away is the best possible experience. It stinks to be so outclassed, but it's valuable experience for next year.
