Wash fans booed the injured official.
Classless
They didn't realize he was injured.
Classy NBCSN - not. Let's show the injured linesman in the locker area. WTF?
Choke Craps choke!
So I think it’s fair to start questioning resting everyone in our final game this season. I didn’t like it at the time, and now after seeing Tampa I don’t like it even more.
the only way they would have played the caps is by an OT loss. but it would have been penguins with a win or lightning with a loss. pick your poisionSo I think it’s fair to start questioning resting everyone in our final game this season. Too bad we didn't beat them in game 82 so we can play them.
We were playing the Penguins with a win, not the Caps. You guys really want to lament possibly not playing the two-time Cup champs?
Never said we’d “automatically win” anything. But Tampa is the best team the east and perhaps the most talented in the NHL. I don’t think it was wise to just throw the final game and be okay with facing Tampa (though Boston was still possible then). And I felt that way at the time too.Again...what makes you think we A) would have automatically won the last game even if we played everyone and B) would have been doing any better against the Pens if we had? We weren't playing this Cap team unless we somehow scripted an OT loss.
I mean, we swept Tampa. What makes you think the current situation would have been any different had we drawn pit? Especially with the league favoritism of the pens, we would have been even more screwed.
