You guys are overreacting to one punch to the head to a guy who instigated, bit and pulled hair, and are sounding off like a bunch of vigilantes. Listen and look at all of the facts, grow up and consider the fact that maybe he had it coming? Looks like that is what the league did.

A punch to the head and driving someones head into the ice intentionally are two different things, if you equate them than I can't argue with that. So I guess if someone instigates a fight they are fair game for anything. If you watch the Steege hit and then the Hague punch, I would venture to guess 99% of the population if asked what was worse and which got 8 games as opposed to 2, they would say the Hague hit.Can you explain where the bite and pulling hair was, I would think the league would suspend for that.

I was quite impressed with the video I've seen of him, he thinks the game really well.

He had 82 goals in 81 games with 50+ assists (according to draft media guide). Second year with the Marlies Minor Midget team. Last year, he was playing underage and slightly out of his depth. This year, not so much. He played in Nepean and the Sens AAA here in Ottawa, always one of the big guys on ice.

One of the weakest areas for Ottawa this year was that sniper who could cash in on the chances provided by Tyanulin, Foget, et al. It doesn't matter what position we took, we needed a goal scorer.

I won't argue witht he Graeme pick. My preference was for Murray because he is a big power centre but Clarke is poised to be a big time scorer. Just don't expect much in our own end. It will probably take him a full season to adjust so don't expect much in year one. 15-6-21 is my prediction for year #1.

Honestly, when Cavalin and Guzda were picked early, I figured they'd use one of their 3rd rounders on a Goalie.

Nothing wrong with Quinn. Some may say a little early but he is a player.

They must like him a lot to take a D this high as we have plenty of bodies back there. Likely a guy who physically is 2 years away.

No. He was head and shoulders above the #2 Ottawa player (forward) in most scouts eyes.

After seeing the 47th pick, it is likely there is a drop off between Cavalina and Guzda and the next best four goalies.

FYI Hockey prospect had peric rated #27 overall so he seems to have slipped. According to them elite speed who could step in this year despite his size. Quinn was rated #63 so we appear to have reached a bit. Swankler not rated on hockey prospects
