Barcelona
Watched the first 78 minutes of Aberdeen-Rangers, bad performance by Gio's club who lucked out with a 1-1 draw. Morelos was useless and attack and got the opposition a penalty with a stupid hand ball. He's a goal scoring machine at this level, but when he's not scoring he's very frustrating and petulant, which is probably the only reason why he's still at Rangers. Kent was sent off later on in the game, he assisted on Hagi's goal but played very individualistic the rest of the game. Sands started shaky in his first match after coming from the MLS but got better as the game went on, some good passes and good defensively too.

...still dropping...

4th straight loss and only 1 win in their last 11 games, they're only 3 points from a relegation spot
I recorded that match and watched it today... Good comedy at the end. No wonder they are nowhere. The match was very spirited as many Turkish league matches are.

Then and there
Celtic complete the triple signing of Japanese players Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, and Yosuke Ideguchi. Kyogo Furuhashi was signed in the summer and has been a sensation. Really excited for Maeda as he seems to be a Kyogo type player on speed, which is sayin somin. Kyogo Furuhashi is the best striker in the world.

Furuhashi has been great based on the games I've seen. If any one of those guys are close to his level, that would be a great signing.

Reo Hatate with a good shot scores for Celtic against Hearts today.

Then and there
Diallo scored 5 minutes into his first game for Rangers. Showed some fancy footwork, willingness to carry the ball and some decent shot.

40-year old Allan McGregor's keeper days for Rangers surely must be over after this match, he fumbled two simple saves and those goals conceded cost Rangers two points.

Celtic's Jota is the best Jota and Portugals best player.
So glad for his resurgence with Celtic, he was a world class level prospect we really struggled to implement himself into the senior game after being the standout player of the generation that won back to back u-17 and u19 euros, and lost the u21 euro final, all in a row.

Portuguese press says he’s leaning towards staying, Benfica never really provided him an opportunity to play his natural position and have a good run of games.
Celtic would give him valuable match experience and European soccer, plus it’s made him far more stronger on the ball.

Bruges, Belgium
If there was any doubt left if Union SG would really challenge for the title in Belgium, those doubts should be entirely gone now. They already had a healthy lead at the top of the table, when two weeks ago they started 4 straight games against Genk, Club Brugge, Anderlecht and Antwerp - their biggest test of the season to see how legit they really are.

First they beat Genk 2-1 at home, albeit a bit fortunate with an injury time penalty (which shouldn't have been awarded), at Club Brugge they tied 0-0 but had chances to win, then won 1-0 at home against Anderlecht and tonight went to Antwerp and beat them 2-0. That's 10 out of a possible 12 points, and they now lead 2nd place Antwerp by 10 points.

It's looking more and more like Belgium's version of 2016 Leicester. Of course we still have the championship playoffs, and point totals at the end of the regular season get cut in half.. But still, Union never get outplayed, their few losses were undeserved, they can match any top team they play and more often than not dominate those teams. You can't press them, you can't outwork them, they're smart, fast, and they keep running for 90+ minutes. They have insane chemistry, especially their striker duo of Deniz Undav and Dante Vanzeir, they have an extremely intelligent manager. They also seem to have the football gods on their side, I don't think throughout the season they even had one injury or player missing due to covid. Right now, I can't see anyone stopping them from winning it all.
