Andreychuk.

Those were the days though. The most entertaining hockey of all time was Major Junior hockey in Oshawa during the early to mid-80’s. High scoring with hundreds of penalty minutes. More of a Gladiator School than a hockey rink.

Can't believe Leaver isn't starting tonight in what could be his only ever game in Oshawa as a visitor. Talk about no feel.

In a strategic move I'll go 4-3 GUE, Poitras.

All the sick guys are back in the lineup after not playing last night. Assume they're not 100% though

Wish the Gens had've called up Sabourin tonight to back up and he could've gone in now. Don't want to use Oster because he'll go tomorrow night and then Monday. So Bickle will just have to stay out there and eat it. But could've called up Sabourin and put him in for the 3rd for his OHL debut
is he signed?

-Another good game for the Gens against a much older team, especially with Guelph healthy scratching 2 of their 4 2006's. Gens played right with them the entire game and led the play for a lot of it.

-If the Gens don't make the playoffs, it'll be because of the shootout. Ryan Gagnier is now 3/6 this year. Everyone else combined is 0/11 (Harrison was 1/4).

-Still in shock that Guelph didn't start Leaver in what could be his only ever game @ Oshawa in his OHL career, but glad to see Oster look good against his former squad stopping 36/40. He's now an impressive 6-2-2 with a 2.08 GAA and a .936 save % in 10 games with the Gens

-Gens PP continues to be incredible despite losing their PP QB and top sniper at the deadline. Rolofs picks up 3 PPGs this weekend and it's now 2nd in the OHL at 26.2% (Windsor in first at 26.3%)

-Came into this game interested to see Ben Danford and Cam Allen and while I may be biased, I don't see how anyone could watch that game and not think Danford looked like the far better prospect. Could really see him being a 1st rounder (along with Sennecke) in the 2024 NHL Draft, with Marrelli going a couple rounds later

-Canada games starts tonight with Ontario taking on BC. Basically all of Team Ontario is OHLDraft top prospects so keep an eye on that. Gens could get 2/3 of them hopefully with the 3 top 25 picks

Wild game today but the Gens were the better team at even strength for the majority of the game. The interesting thing was Niagara was way better on special teams, but it didn’t end up mattering.

-said on Twitter the other day that it seemed like Sennecke was about to breakout, which sounds crazy because he already led all ‘06s in points but he did just that today. Was really good the whole game and gets 5 points and 8 shots. One of his best games in the O

-Roobroeck sticks it to his former team again. Ends up with 6 points in 6 periods against them this year. Would be 2nd on their team in scoring this season, 1 back of 1st

-Ryder McIntyre with another 3 points. Now 3 goals in the last 4 games. He’s been really good lately creating space then using it

-with the win the Gens jumped SBY and KGN and are now in 7th, although they have the hardest remaining schedule by far
