are we seeing more than twice the normal amount of rookies in opening night compared to previous seasons. (i mentioned twice because last season locking out effectively pushed last year's rookies to this year)

it seems like an aweful lot of rookies. i think salary cap has to do with it?

Kesler isn't a rookie anymore, had 28 NHL games in 2003-04 and I think the limit was 25.

I counted 105 rookies from that list. That's a turnover of about 1/6th of the league.

And Cory Cross is still somehow in the NHL.

Sort of -- he was a healthy scratch the first game. Good possibility he plays 10 games w/ the Hawks and then goes back to the WHL.
