Definitely not.Rangers probably signing Hall or Pietrangelo?
Is this idea showing Virtanen has value, or is it helping the Rangers to not have to buy out Lindqvist?what is the deal with Canucks fans having JV having so much value?
Doubt he wants it to go like this...moreso that the Rangers don’t want a three headed goalie monster next year (in which Lundqvist is awkwardly scratched), and nobody Hank was willing to waive to wanted him or that contract. Is there much cap savings from this? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure this is what Henrik wanted and that’s it.
probably wasnt will to move his NMC and stated this year that he couldnt see himself anywhere else than Manhattan... most likely why NYR decided to opt with this scenarioInteresting buyout
It's 5.5 year one, 1.5 year two
So they save 3 million this season
If you’re not planning on contending with your current team plus Laf, there’s something wrong in NYRno,
(1) not contending soon, (2) already have Panarin/Trouba/Kreider contracts,
(3) will rise >$10M dead Cap if buy out Hank, (4) gotta resign Zib in a couple and
(5) have 4 key RFAs and a key UFA, and (6) the multiple high firsts may earn bonuses which impact Cap
Definitely not.
LW and RHD are our strongest positions. They would be a huge waste of cap space.
I really hope NYR stays clear of Hall... they are building something unbelievable but I feel Halls next deal will handcuff the team by about year 3 and it will be a very regrettable signing

Rangers don't have a need for Hall or Pietroangelo.
Think this is a bad idea. Just let him be the backup and eat the money for one season and deal Georgie.
Avery and the Stars?Rangers and dead cap name a more iconic duo
Karma for playing easy difficulty in be a GM with the NYRLundqvist is going to be bought out.
Tbh it's kinda crazy that they couldn't trade him. His buyout penalty is UGLY. They're paying like $11 million between Shattenkirk and Lundqvist for buyouts this year.
Maybe a CBA guru can correct me on that one but isnt Shestyorkin exempted from the ED due to his age/contract status?I still don't get why they won't just trade Georgiyev for value and run with Shestyorkin-Lundqvist for next year.
You're going to have to trade Georgiyev eventually unless you want him taken in the expansion draft.

I would agree with Hall, but in the case of Pietrangelo you trade somebody to make it work
sell high on DeAngelo make it work. I hope this is in the works and they're reaching out to free agents as soon as they legally can.I would agree with Hall, but in the case of Pietrangelo you trade somebody to make it work
