Confirmed Trade: [NYI/STL] Robert Bortuzzo for 2024 7th round pick

The Isles blueline would actually be lethal with Hanifin but I’m not sure it’s even a top priority at this moment:

Hanafin-Pulock
Romanov-Mayfield
Aho-Bolduc-Reilly-Bortuzzo (no specific order)

Adding Hanafin would be a serious luxury, but it would be pretty sick to see that defense fully healthy.

I will say that Romanov has really impressed during Pelech's and Aho's absences. He has been handling huge minutes and doing a really nice job with them. Dobson is the headliner, but Romanov has quietly been a rock in this last stretch.

Assuming everyone is back healthy, I hope they launch Aho into space as Rielly does a better job in that #6 and #2PP role. Bortuzzo is a nice #7.

Greene and Chara did wonders for Dobson’s growth. If Bortuzzo can do the same for Bolduc, we’ll see the player we hoped for down the line.

He did ok. Had a big hit early on that got the crowd on his side. His partner Bolduc had a strong game and he's been struggling lately as a kid thrust into the lineup. So far so good. Weird to see him sans beard though.

Bortuzzo actually would have been great back on the Pens. Letang and Karlsson play so many minutes, he would be a 10 min/game PK and crease clearing specialist with some size. I did and do think the Pen's D core needs that.
