Canes fan here. I like seeing Bishop and Dzingel showing the young Sens how to play a Canes-style puck-possession/aggressive forecheck game in a bottom-6 role. I think that your team desperately needed an injection of that, and honestly, Bishop could have a long NHL career playing that kind of game as a 4C. IMO, it was a good deal for both teams. Most of our AHL defensemen were in Europe and we needed another defensive prospect to play in Chicago, and Paquette plays a high-end 4th line game for good teams and has given our 4th line a nice boost because of it.

Hate running with the same goaltender in a back to back but it's a tough spot. Gus is progressing well and there's a lot to like about his game but I'm not sure he is ready just yet so I get protecting him. another big test for Daccord.

At this point I think it's pretty safe to say he has earned an NHL spot. The team signed him to a 3 year contract in the off season, for a player with one year of pro hockey under his belt that's not very common and probably speaks to how much management believes in him. With Hogberg's play and expiring contract, he's going to get plenty of opportunities moving forward.

Sens have a tie or winning record against 3 out of 6 teams in the North division so far. Oilers/Canucks are the only teams the Sens haven't looked competitive at all against. However we have only played 3 games against Vancouver early in the season.
