But I wanted Pronger.

Oh well start off my 2nd line with one of my all time favourites in Centre Marcel Dionne.

We must like the same players because almost every player you've picked has been in my top three when I'm picking.

 Nice to see your draft including another historical era, including the 1970's Soviets, Czechoslovakians and WHLers that proved themselves equals to the NHL's best time and again!

Looking forward: Call me when you include the Original Six.

(And hey: A draft of ONLY players who played before the O6 era - before WWII - would rock the hell! :yo: ... Maybe I could get into these so-called "part-time" drafts after all!)

Again, not the best player on the board...but have fun game planning against this guy with one of Orr/Coffey giving him outlet passes...

The Chicago Blackhawks select Pavel Bure, RW

I like the idea of doing a PTD the other way around (i.e. Only players born before a certain date instead of after).

We will be doing polls on this board to determine the winner...I hope you participate

RB's clock is almost up but we've been flying through this thing so I'll give him some extra time.

In the meantime...Who do you guys think should wear the C for my team, Messier or Yzerman? Of course the guy who doesn't get picked will still wear an A

Messier, probably the most iconic captain in hockey.

I'm enjoying doing these for sure, maybe they never take the place of an ATD/MLD/AAA or those drafts but they're fun to do.

In the future I think we could look at doing a decades draft in which we'd only draft players born in a certain decade between 1900 and 1989. Be interesting to see what kind of teams we come up with.

Also enjoying the pace here, 44 picks already and this is only Day 3, with this pace we could have it done by the end of the week.

I think this will be the place where experimenting with smaller teams will be done and with interesting themes or concepts, and the bigger draft without real restrictions (ATD) will remain.

Which centers taken before him do you think he is better than?

I think he has an argument vs Forsberg and certainty Fedorov. In terms of all players he's better than Selanne IMO. All close and not by any means bad picks but Malkin's size and talent is too good to pass up.
