In your head
Shanahan going to handle the draft? Or he's going to have someone in place before that?

The club also announced coaches Steve Spott, Chris Dennis & Rick St. Croix (goaltending) have also been relieved of their duties.

It doesn't make sense to bring in a GM from outside the organization when that person hasn't had a hand in the hiring of anyone under them. Does that mean Shanahan or someone else within the group will be doing it? Not a ton of experience there.

Wow, they fired every coaching staff member plus Nonis. A bit surprise to say the least.

This season was real bad timing for Steve Spott's NHL coaching aspirations. In two years he has gone from highly regarded Canadian World Junior coach to Toronto Marlies coach to Leafs assistant to the guy who let a tasty piece of sports tabloid gossip slip out at a coaching symposium.

You guys are lucky. Watch the Oilers stand pat with the old boys club and Toronto will pass the Oilers rebuild within the next few years just like Calgary did

Now there is absolutely no stink of Burke's management left. It's a new day.

Burke and Blake coming on most likely?

More announcements forthcoming for sure.

Shanahan, Nonis, and Dubas are on record as iced the worst Leafs team Post OT points history. Changes were bound to happen, Shanahan can't fire himself.

If Shanahan, Dubas and Hunter aren't going to lead the club long-term I wouldn't mind taking a look at Sergei Fedorov, who is supposedly interested in an NHL GM position.

Kinda feel bad for Spott since he did well with the Marlies last year. Good thing they're keeping Staios with the organization considering how he worked with Gardiner and Rielly

I guess he will get a chance to bring his input for the coaching hire(s). But sounds like the Leafs are going by committee, and no one will be hired that doesn't want to fit with Dubas or Hunter.
