Obviously these types of stories pop up everywhere and you have to take them for what they are. I am not posting this to cause a stir, the kid is in Grade 4 for God's sake... but I know some of you get a kick out if it, so maybe it's another name to remember down the road.

I was thinking the complete opposite. We need more pitching talent in this country than we do another hockey player. Keep him out of hockey, we can't risk any shoulder injuries.

we sure could use the kid in the world base ball clasic coming up in march. We need pitching cause we dont have much pitching especialy if we want to compete againts a country like the dominican republic.

How fast is a normal ball in base ball at his age? I've got no idea, but I Know that I can't through that fast, but I've got relly weak arms...

I don't know, but I'm 19 and I can only throw at 68 mph. (I stopped playing baseball competively when I was 13 though, maybe (probably) I would throw faster now if I would've kept playing)

So yeah, 58mph is VERY fast for a 9 year-old.. lol

Arm strength isn't everything. For my size and gender, I 've got very good arm strength , but cannot throw to save my life.
