This is classic. You combine the NHL on Fox with Burger King jerseys and cartoon Ducks jerseys!

Man, FOX really did do a good job broadcasting with a pregame and a postgame unlike NBC. Hopefully, FOX gives the NHL another chance in the future

In hindsight, as a kid growing up watching hockey starting in the late 80s to early 90s, I sincerely miss the NHL on FOX broadcasts every weekend. I could do without the robots and other gimmicks, but they really tried hard to promote the NHL and had a series of entertaining commercials promoting their broadcasts, unlike NBC or ABC.

For as much as some purists hated the glow puck and the robots and all of that, there's no denying that no network has gotten behind the NHL like Fox did.
Just look at the Wiki schedule posted a couple of pages back to see that there were multiple games every week of the season at multiple times instead of a "Game of the Week" with one or maybe two combinations of the same six or eight teams over and over again. When you add that to the pre-game and post-game shows that were light years better than what the NBC telecasts currently produce and it's no wonder that people wax nostalgic about the NHL on Fox.
I hope that they can get the rights back someday because they did the best job of any of the networks when it comes to broadcasting hockey for the US market.

Would be nice if the NHL went back to FOX and received the proper coverage it deserves... the NBC coverage just does not do it justice.
