Good read, other then some laughable mistakes. Would love Nichuskin, but if we dont get him I would like Shinkaruk . But any top forward would make me happy. Also if we get Fucale in the 2nd round ,I would love it. I dont understand some of the 2nd round choices to be honest. I think more top potential forwards would be the ideal situation. (And dear lord please no to Zadarov)

Fine with all your preferences other then Zadorov and some of the 2nd round ones. If we dont get Fucale , I would prefer a forward over a goalie in the 2nd round

I would rank the major needs as follows:

1. Goalscoring - We have Kovy at NHL level and no one else. We have Boucher at prospect level and no one else.
2. Number 1 center - We have two good 2nd line centers in Henrique and Zajac and a potential third 2nd line center caliber player in Loktionov if he builds on his promising first season but probably do lack the number 1 center caliber player. I would jis in my pants if a Monahan (He will be a no. 1) or Lindholm is available at pick 9.
3. Goaltender - We need a succession plan for Brodeur.
4. Best Player Available - Would lean towards drafting a forward. I dont see a problem with our D depth at both NHL level and prospect level.

Id put BPA ahead of goaltender. Kinkaid and Wedgewood are not garbage and both have potential to be successors. It's also not an impossibility of filling gaps with a UFA or trade acquisition until the heir is ready or drafted. I agree with the rest.

This dweeb's thought that we need to stock more defense is ridiculous and clear he has no clue abt this organization.

Lol, the writer clearly thinks drafting Fucale at #9 is a better idea than Shinkaruk. Doesn't even mention Lindholm, probably thinks he's a lock to be picked before, which is certainly possible.

Still, the former makes me feel dirty.

The Major Team Decision Makers

1 –CEO, President and General Manager:Lou Lamoriello

2– VP of Hockey Operations: Steve Pellegrini

3 – Executive VP of Hockey Operations, Director, Scouting: David Conte

4 – Coach: Rick Kowalsky

Rick Kowalsky? As others have already mentioned, this "article" is less-than-stellar.

Between the coach and team needs, it might be time to replace Eklund.

How can one make that mistake? Even if one Googles "Devils Coach" DeBoer still comes up.

You know, for once it would be nice if people who wanted to write about the Devils took the time to do their due diligence and actually attempted a little research first.

Seriously, Rick Kowalsky? Was Wikipedia down when the author tried to write this the night before it was due?

This article has so many errors and bad information I'm surprised that people haven't claimed that Kosman actually wrote it

He was only off by about 135 miles

I mean, if Scott Wedgewood and Maxime Clermont didn't exist, like they don't in this article, then drafting a goalie might be a higher priority. So I guess that kind of makes sense.

"After Adam Larsson, the list of quality defensemen gets short and the players on it start to age."

Why did everyone even read past this point? HF is not the place to post articles if you haven't done your research.

Who the hell is Rick Kowalsky?

Is he related to Killer Kowalsky, the wrestler? :sarcasm:

(I know it's spelled differently but I really don't care....it sounds funny)
