The ratings have been growing since the 2012-13 season, you're just an enigma.
Have they actually? Im pretty surprised by that. 5 years ago it seemed as though everyone my age where i lived watched hockey, now very few people do

"NBC Sports Chicago has averaged a 2.92 rating for Blackhawks games so far this season, down 7% from the same mid-January point last season (3.15). Chicago finished with a 3.35 average last season, its lowest on local TV since 2011-12.
Despite the decline, the Blackhawks are outperforming the moribund Bulls by 44% (2.03). That gap has actually narrowed from 69% at the end of last season (3.35 to 1.98)."

I was checking out ratings for the All-Star in Canada and oddly the skills competition with 1.418 million (ranked 11 for the week) had more viewers than the actual All Star Game (ranked 24 for the week) with 0.978 million. The All Star Game had similar numbers to a Wednesday night Leafs game on Sportsnet National with 0.924 million.

"The U.S. men’s hockey team’s 5-1 victory over Slovakia last night on NBCSN averaged 1.62 million viewers,"

TEAM USA MEN’S HOCKEY WIN OVER SLOVAKIA RANKS AS NBCSN’S MOST WATCHED LATE-NIGHT HOCKEY GAME IN 4 YEARS

Lol, That is pooor. Four years ago numbers were much much higher.
Lol, did you know that the time difference is probably cutting a lot of viewers on the Eastern seaboard out since the game is being played at 8 to 9 pm at night in Pacific Time? Or did you never think of that instead of making hyperbole comments? I mean it says "MOST WATCHED LATE-NIGHT HOCKEY GAME...", not that hard to miss...
