I agree that outdoor games have lost their appeal, but this one is pretty special. Ottawa vs Montreal in Ottawa was the first game in NHL history almost 100 years ago to the day (December 19, 1917). In fact, I believe the game was actually played at Landsdowne, which is where the game today is being played.

I think it might have been played at an Arena on top of Confederation Park across from City Hall (Wiki; Dey's Arena).
